Gas Safe Certificates

Commonly known as a CP12 or CP17 a Landlord Gas Safety Certificate comprises of visual inspections and physical tests carried out by our registered gas engineers on all the gas appliances and visibly accessible pipe work within both domestic and non-domestic commercial rental properties, to ensure that they are in good and safe working condition.

By law a Domestic Gas Safe Certificate (CP12) or a Commercial Gas Safe Certificate (CP17) needs to be produced annualy and if the property has been continuously rented, a new Gas Safety Inspection needs to be carried out between the 10th and 12th month from the date of the previous gas certificate. It’s important to provide the previous gas check date, to ensure we can carry-out the new gas inspection before the previous one expires. 

As a Landlord of a residential or commercial property, you have a legal responsibility for gas safety and for the health & welfare of your tenants, visitors and employees within both domestic and commercial rental properties. If you do not carry out annual Gas safety checks, you are putting lives at risk and could receive a substantial fine and/or a custodial sentence (imprisonment) for failure to comply with the Gas Safety Regulations.
